On Sunday, June 2, 2013 the Green Team hosted a rain barrel workshop sponsored by the Alabama Environmental Council. The workshop began with a 20 minute reminder of our earth’s valuable and limited resources. Then a demonstration on the how to turn a 55 gallon soda syrup to a rain barrel. Everyone volunteered to tackle a part of the assembly and in about 1 hour minutes we cranked out 18 rain barrels ready to taken home and filled up with rain water. Thank You to Scott from AEC and all those that purchased rain barrels to make this workshop possible.
** With all the recent rain I hope everyone’s barrel is full of water for those up coming dry days!
