The Advent and Christmas season is an important and cherished time in the life of the church. The Covid-19 pandemic has transformed our normal worship and activity schedule, but we are still preparing to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child throughout the season of Advent with live streamed and in-person worship services, a virtual Children’s Christmas Pageant, a drive-thru family Christmas event, and special holiday worship services.
During the Christmas season, we also make time for mission activities like the Festival of the Three Kings, special food pantry distributions, and the distribution of blankets to the homeless that were collected in November. We gather online and in-person on Christmas Eve for a moving candlelight worship service welcoming the Christ child.

Holiday Events and Activities
- Children’s Virtual Christmas Pageant – This video will be published Sunday, December 13th on YouTube and Facebook.
- Drive Thru Christmas Event – December 13th from 4:00-5:00pm in the church parking lot. We will have a live nativity and Santa will even be there to wave at everyone and spread some Christmas Cheer! We will be giving the first 300 children a candy cane and a pack of hot cocoa. There will also be a special “North Pole Mailbox!” Kids can pass us their letters to Santa and he will take them back to the North Pole with him!
We are finding safe and creative ways to celebrate the Christmas season while protecting the health and well being of our neighbors. Please join us this year and build your own holiday memories here at Bluff Park United Methodist Church. We look forward to seeing you (and don’t forget your mask!)
